The FPI indicates a country’s level of political freedom, based on measures of voice and accountability, rule of law, corruption, and institution type. Higher FPI scores are broadly associated with better governance and improved economic outcomes.

The protocols cover a wide range of legal, regulatory and ethical requirements.

All staff receive appropriate and on-going training in these protocols and are expected to operate within the letter and the spirit of them. The protocols form part of each employee's employment contract and any breach of them may be considered a disciplinary matter. FFC actively encourages 'whistleblowing' to allow staff to raise concerns without fear of reprisal in any form.
